scp return policy Return Policy - 60 Day Risk Free Limited Warranty

Structured Cable Products ("SCP") offers a 60 day risk-free return policy from date of invoice on all SCP ordered items (excluding FOB factory items, custom order products, non-catalog products, clearance, fiber items, or discontinued items) for credit on your SCP account. No cash refunds will be authorized. Items may be returned after 60 days but a 30% re-stocking charge will be applied to all returns after 60 days. No items can be returned after 90 days. All returns must be sent FREIGHT PRE-PAID.


Please contact the SCP Returns Department at accounting@scpcat5e.com or call 954-327-5770 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before returning any items. No returns of any type will be accepted without a RMA number. Any goods returned without a proper RMA number will not be accepted and may be returned to Customer at Customer's expense. For faster service, please have the following information on hand when calling for an RMA number: customer name, SCP customer number, invoice number, and reason for the return. Returns must be received at our warehouse within 21 days of RMA assignment or the RMA will expire, unless approved otherwise in advance by SCP.


Any product returned must be returned unused as originally shipped and in its original/non-damaged packaging. Any item returned that is not in its unused and in its original/ non-damaged package will not be accepted for return and under no circumstance will we issue a credit. All products returned MUST be 100 percent complete unused, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the boxes, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer. Any item with a seal that is found to have been broken WILL NOT be accepted for return. DO NOT WRITE OR MARK ON THE PRODUCT BOX OR CONTAINER AS IT WILL VOID THE RETURN.


After SCP has issued you a RMA number, please make sure that your return shipment is clearly labeled with the SCP RMA number.

You are responsible for shipping charges on non-defective returned items. All returns must be sent FREIGHT PREPAID.


Return Policy - SCP Error

Returns claims due to SCP Error must be brought to SCP's attention within 2 days upon receipt of order.


If a return is necessary due to an error by SCP, please follow the above return procedures to obtain a RMA number. Depending on the type of SCP order error, SCP will resolve the error as per below:


  1. Order Error Due to Wrong Item(s) Sent - SCP will at its discretion:
    • Cover the shipping cost to return the incorrect items back to SCP, and SCP will ship at our expense (using comparable shipping method as per original order), the correct items as per the original order, or
    • Customer may elect to keep the items and any necessary adjustments will be made by credit or debit to customer's account, or
    • SCP may resolve the error by debit or credit to customer's account.
  2. Order Error Due to Shortage - SCP will at its discretion:
    • Ship the missing/shortage items at our expense to our customer (using similar shipping method as per the original order), or
    • Shortage items may be added to next/future customer order/invoice; or
    • SCP may instead credit the customer account for the shortage.
  3. Order Error Due to Overage - If SCP ships a greater number of items than per the original order, at SCP discretion:
    • Customer may elect to keep the overage items and SCP will charge these items to customer's account, or
    • SCP may elect to have the items shipped back at SCP expense.

In all instances above, the shipping method will be comparable as per the original order. If customer requires expedited shipping, the cost differential will be at customer's expense.


Return Policy - International Orders

SCP Europe (Moerdijk, NL) - Returns for non-defective items will be handled in similar manner as indicated above in Return Policy - 60 Day Risk Free Warranty and Return Policy - SCP Error. However, for orders that were originally shipped from SCP Europe warehouse, the return items need to be returned to the SCP Europe warehouse. The process of obtaining a RMA number is the same, but the shipping address is as follows:

Specific instructions will be provided upon obtaining a RMA for return shipments to SCP Europe. No return shipments will be received at SCP Europe without a valid RMA issued in advance.


International Orders Shipped from SCP USA Warehouse(s) - Returns for non-defective items shipped internationally from SCP USA warehouses will be handled in a similar manner as detailed in above sections Return Policy - 60 Day Risk Free Warranty and Return Policy - SCP Error.
