Keystone modules are internationally standardized snap-in connectors for mounting into ports on a variety of low voltage patch panels, wall plates, face plates, and boxes. Keystone modules have a rectangular face of 14.5mm wide by 16.0mm high and are held in place with flexible tabs. This allows them to be easily snapped in-or-out of mounting plates with rectangular holes, called keystone ports. All keystones, regardless of the type of jack they carry, are interchangeable and replaceable. Their small size makes them ideal for almost any low voltage connectivity requirement including networking copper, optical fiber, and multimedia applications. Installers can configure various keystone media types all in the same panel. This provides greater flexibility for Custom Integration technicians.
